Future Releases of BinX

BinX 1.2 has now been released (January, 2005) and contains the new following features:

The <struct> tag can now have a "dim" (dimension) attribute.

Nested fixed arrays have been added to the BinX Library.

Random access to the binary data file has been added.

Single variable arrays now work correctly.

Subsequent releases

edikt intend to produce regular releases on a quarterly basis to service the e-Science Community.

Future releases of BinX are planned to include the following functionality:

  • Support for text (flat) files
  • Integration with edikt::Eldas

edikt also intend to port BinX to the following platforms:

  • Windows
  • Solaris
